For the next event in the Tomatrax Olympics we are looking at really long albums, albums that are so long that they couldn’t fit it all onto one disc. I know quality is more important than quantity, but when you have both it’s better still. So here are 20 double albums from around the world.

As always there are strict rules around which albums are elligible. For this event we adopted some of the critera set by Rate Your Music as part of their Double Albums chart, they are as follows:

* No Compilations
* No Live Albums (there will be an event for live albums soon)
* Since 1988 is the year that CD overtook Vinyl, anything after 1987 needs to be produced on 2 CDs to be considered a double album.
* “Box Sets” Not Allowed
* Triple Albums are elligle
* Reissues with a 2nd bonus cd do not count.
